Default Donzi 32 ZF

I just bought a 2000 Donzi 32ZF and was wondering if anyone has any good or bad things to say about this boat. Its powered by twin 250 mercs. I have only fished it a couple of times, and so far so good. Seems to handle 2'-3' seas at 25 mph with no problems.

Not quite sure what your asking. My boat does not have any american flag stickers on it. Although I think I saw you fishing Pecks Lake last week??

Ran a lot of Donzis over the year and the 32 is basically just a 35 with two feet removed from the bow. Try running the boat up around 4000 RPMs, you will be amazed at how the hull gets on top of the chop and rides out. One thing you will learn with a step bottom is when it starts to get sloppy, put the hammers down and get on top! Also, whenever you do any type of turn above 40 mph, you want to trim the engines up a little bit so that they are at a neutral position, keeping them trimmed in will promote a tendancy for the hull to spin out at higher turning speeds. You will find that your trim and your trim tabs are your best friend, learning how to use them together will yield the best ride in sloppy conditions. When running a quartering or beam sea, you want to lift the windward side slightly with the tabs, this will yield a smoother and drier ride, following sea tabs all the way up and trim the engines out some to let the hull "surf" the backs of the waves. Head sea you will more than likely want to tuck your engines in and lower the tabs to let the bow do its job. If you start to go through the waves and get wet, just trim the engines out a little and leave the tabs set where they were, this will allow the bow to rise up over the tops and keep you dry while the tabs will keep you from bouncing around and launching.

The 32 should run around 60 with a moderate to light load, 56 loaded, and maybe 62 really light on the perfect day.
