I've had older hulls pro buffed with polimers etc. It gets expensive...

.. the best results Ive had was with a "Teflon buff finish", I would then use a good brand wash-n-wax every time I washed her. The Shine would be "Shave in" (about an arms length with fingers touching hull) .. deminishing over a full year season. Heavy Salt Water use....
When the reflection got down to a full hand length, I would re-apply new "Teflon Finish" with minor prep to heavy wear areas..... My Gellcoat repair guy "Hates" Teflon, cus he has to remove it totally for patchwork and repair. Yet my Mechanic loves it as do I, for a "Show Boat" shine with "Minimal Maintenance" I do snag some commercial "wash-n-wax" fom time to time from the F.D.

Available at most Fleet supply....please dont tell.... But actually been very happy with plain old "Turtle Wax ,Wash-n-wax in the interm..!! and as for the older hulls we just gave all the kids sponges with plain old "Soft Scrub with Bleach"

removed all the oxidation and got her ready for a wax job..

it works..made for fiberglass showers..

dont pay extra if your oxidised... wish I Had Stock in "Soft Scrub"

.
Would Be Happy to hear from anyone as to ..Pro's and Con's to this Issue as were "(All In The Same Boat)" the only easy way to do it... Is Not do it yourself...
