I don't see a "177" on Scout's website - in either a "CC" or a "flats"? There's a "170 Costa" that is a "flats"?

The old "185" is now the "187", I think?

Go to http://www.scoutboats.com and take a look.

I have a 2001 "175 Sportfish" (CC) w/115-2-stroke - still in production, but they have made a few changes on the transom interior. It's VERY "tight" behind the bench seat on the newer/new 175CC's - look at the "floor plan" pic - not as much useable room back there as there use to be.

The "old" design, like mine, did not have the jumpseats and was an "open transom" vs. the "motor well-type" re-design. I'm sure they did this because of the additional weight of 4-strokes back there that created a scupper issue when you'd put a 400# 115-4-stroke on the back. The new "well" probably eliminates the problem but appers to make it cramped back there?

Great boats, but much pricier than they use to be. You may want to look at the Sea Hunt "172" or "186" Triton series - you could probably get the "186" for about the same $'s?

Just my $0.02

I have the Scout 262 Abaco, and just bought this 176 Key West over the Scout 175 Sportfish..... biggest 17.5 I've ever seen. 25" transom... does almost 50 MPH with a 115 Yamaha....

boats742,

BEAUTIFUL boat - and I LOVE that color!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I saw the KW 176 a couple of years ago when they first came out - must agree, a BIG boat for a "17ft.+"! And I'll bet it's cheaper than a new Scout "175SF"!

Regards,
