every time I'm there I hear something different. I want to add one more to my list. it's a kind of bar and ther's no shortage of alcohol. my favorite place to have a beer is the sanbar at islamorada next to the whale harbor channel

Oh yeahTHE sand bar BYOB the rest of the entertainment is there how could I forget ? The island rumor from Dillons Bar(where else) has it most of throes deal went south PappaJoes/Holidy Isle/Lor-e-Lei along with everything else with a for sale sign. Allot of people are stuck with throes old pipe dreams figuring the real estate depression ha sent arrived at the keys yet....IMHO

Let me expand on this...

There is simply nothing better than getting to Kingman marine a little before noon on Sunday, tying up at the floats, and then heading up to the outdoor bar window, ordering a bunch of bloody marys, and grabbing an adirondack chair and watching all the action in Red Brook Harbor. After a few of those, head into the porch and order a platter of steamers and a massive lobster roll on fresh portuguese bread.

But, my close second is the Seafood Shanty in Egdartown. I've spent several afternoons looking out at Chappaquiddick, sipping an adult beverage and watching the Sox game on one of the strategically placed flat panel TVs.

We will be staying in Marathon in June. Any good watering holes to boat to within say a 30-45 min. run?

Sharky's Landing for Happy Hour: $1 beer, >$.25 wings & shrimp.

Hands down best in the keys.
