SRE 372- I saw in the rate your boat post that you have one and appear to be very happy with it. Mine should be in this week. I went with a 200hpdi. Can you tell me a little more about yours.

Midnight Run
We purchased the boat last year with a 175 Johnson and EZ load trailer.We added a Lowrance Globalmap 2400,a Lowrance X91 Depthfinder, and a Standard Vhf radio all of which fit in the console great. The boat does 45mph @ 5100-5200rpm.The boat has an excellant ride in a chop and tracks very well at low speed.The hyralic steering adds to the pleasure of driving this boat.the bilge bump could have been better mine went after the first year but I got another one like it and just replaced the cart. without taking the whole bottom part out.The boat has good storage as well as a handy cooler under the front console seat.I also added a dual battery setup.The boat has alot of fishing room as well as alot of seating room when it come to taking out the family.Overall the boat seems great and I am sure you will be pleased with it.What did you get in yours, where did you purchase it and what did it run if you dont mind me asking.

I got it at Oneills Marina in St Pete Florida. They gave me $12000 for my 175 that Iought from them in 2000. The original price was $25,900 which included leaning post and dual batts. By the time I added the Yamaha 200hpdi, it added $5000 to the price. I went with the hpdi over the OX66 because of the 4yr fact warranty. I hope I made the right decision. Also, come with an aluminum EZ Loader trlr. The one I test drove had the 175 Johnson and I was impressed. Thanks for your reply.

How does the 200 do? I just bought a 2003 Osprey 205 with no power and am interested in your experience.I need to make a decision on power.

I dont think Midnight Run has recieved his boat yet. He said it should be in this week.I had my 2002 205 Osprey 175 Johnson out on Sunday. GPS speed was 46.7MPH at 5200 RPM's 1/2 tank of fuel 2 persons on board slight chop on water.I woul;d think with a 200 you would be 50+ MPH.Its all what you want to spend on the motor.The boat at the show had a 150 on it but for $500.00 more I went with the 175.Plenty of speed for me.If I was planning on going out with 4 or 5 guys on a regular basis I might want a bigger motor but usually I go out with 2 or 3 so the 175 does it fine.Hope this helps.

Thanks for the input, I guess I'll let the better deal make the decision for me. Seems like a decent rig!
