Live Well Removal from Leaning Post

I have a leaning post with a built in live well on my 28 Baja Sportfish. Ido not use the livewell and it takes up valuable fishing space between it and the rear seat. Does anyone have any ideas how to remove the livewell and perhaps add a flush mount set of drawers or other tackle space? Other Bajas came this way but Bja no longer has the mold.
