Default 2501 Parker CC

was looking at this boat at the show. 25'4" 9'6 beam 21 degrees with twin 150's. Will be a awhile before I can get a sea trial. Use will be Mostly inshore with some 30 mile runs mixed in. Purely for fishing in New England. Looks like it had more deck space than any other 25 I've seen. some stowage and good fish boxes. Anyone with any experience with this set up? Ride? performance #s? Fishability?

I have been on the 25 pilot before and it is a real solid boat but have never been on the 25CC. It looks to be a beast. PM tunatango123. He has an 06 for sale on the trading dock here that looks to be a real nice rig. Twin 225's and rigged to the nines. Good luck.

I have a 1996 25' Center Console with Twin 200s. Not much has changed from then to now....The boat rides great in the 2-4 foot seas that are par in Onslow Bay NC (Morehead City). My boat is set up with T-Top outriggers and the T-top side riggers...I fish 6 lines in a typical trolling spread with no problems. I consider the boat to be supebly fishable...and easy to clean...I regularly run 30-50 miles out to the gulf stream. Back in June I ran 35 miles in 4 footers with the wind 90 degrees to my course I felt safe at 25knts...although I was quite wet the boat was fine and when I pulled the plug it was dry as a bone.

My performance numbers are probably irrelevant to you but here they are:

Twin Yamaha SS2 200s
Top Speed: 50mph
Cruise: 35mph
In a typical trip I burn abpout 1 Mile per gallon.

Let me know if there is something else you're looking for.

I looked at the 25 pilot house also in fact that is what I was there to look at but the room on the cc caught my eye and I'm in between again. I have done some research on the pilot and was starting to look at the cc. ** Jhendric ** I guess my bigest question was the performance. the show boat had twin 150 but I think that was a 16 degree boat I'm assuming yours is the 21 degree boat? also I know all cc's are wet but some are worse than others, this looks to have a pretty good flare how does it compare to others?

i'll tell you why i went from a CC to a pilot house,2 reason's 1 i have kids and 2 love to fish offshore.i wanted some protection from bad weather.2 when i had my last 3 CC no matter how many people we had fishing on the boat they alway's ended up in the rear.and if you look at most CC the room from the cockpit back is not real big, then look at the room from the back of the pilot house back and you will see why i have mine.i prefer the pilot house to the CC anyday, but again what i want and need may not be what you need or want.

just a thought

Hey Pillz...yes mine is the 21 Degree deadrise. Parkers have large reverse chines and good bow flair giving them a much dryer ride than most, I really don't have a lot of time on other boats in similar weather to compair it to....in the conditions I described above I believe every 25' in the world would have produced a wet ride....

I have the 2510 XLD WA version of this boat. Most of my use is fishing in and around Cape Cod. Buzzards Bay can get nasty, but I tend to only go out if the weather is decent. I like the WA style as I can roll-up the canvas and get lots of breeze when it is warm, but can roll it down when you need more protection in the spring and fall. The boat is a battleship with lots of room to fish. I have been out with 4 other guys and there was plenty of room. The platform is very stable. I have twin F150s. I have only had the boat for one year and only put 50 hrs on it last summer. I am not real good at performance numbers... I'll do a better job next year.

In New England I think you are better off with the 2510 DV. I've been running one since 99. Great all around package, and there is a lot to be said for that dry cabin below.

Thanks for the input guys. Frank I think I have seen you out around the islands a couple times thats a nice rig where do you slip it? I have also seen a couple 25 pilots around and that was my main reason for going to the show but like I said the CC caught my eye. Right now I have a 21' Hydrasport WA and need more fishing room and the cuddy, live well and fish boxes are all too small. Harpoon what hull is that and what engines do you run. I want to make sure to have the right power set up. So far what I have seen is the 16 degree boats seem to run 250HP and the 21 degree usually have a 300 or twin 150's sound about right?

Pillz... I am on Buzzards Bay at Kingman. I have made it down to the Elizabeths (Quicks and Robinsons) a few times, and into Vineyard Sound, but not out to Nantucket. If you do see me around next season, give me a shout. My Parker is "Bella Vita".
