Default Rust stains

How do I remove rust stains from my transom? Rust on stainless hardware also needs removal. Thanks.

On Off cleaner if you like spending $$$, Muriatic acid diluted at least 50% from any home center if you would rather spend the $$$ on gas.

I like Bar Keepers friend. I made the mistake of cutting a like off my anchor chain while I was sitting on the front of my boat. About 2 days later I had roughly 8 bajillion rust spots all over the front of my boat. Bar Keepers friend worked great (even on the stainless steel sections). Basically anything with oxcilic acid will work
