I´ve had an Apex panga 26 with the Isuzu diesel and Aplha One package for 5 years and have no complaints. Its very economical, about 3 gals. per hour at 20 knots which is about 3,100 rpm. Only has 15 degrees transom deadrise so don´t expect deep vee ride, will do great in 3 ft. chop, anything bigger will make you pound and slow down going into waves, downwind its another story and you can go as fast as you want wihtout problems. Its a dry boat and very easy to handle and manouver, thou a bit tender. Due to the light weight it will not drive through waves but go over them. The hull is well built and strong but the liner is somewhat flymsy and I have numerous gel coat craks. I operate in the Caribbean year round. Would probably buy again with a 150 HP outboard to avoid the sterndrive hassels although the Isuzu diesel is the best engine I´ve had in 35 years of boating.
