Mercury warranty service......once again it is outstanding.

A warning to the THT doom and gloom crowd - this is a good news post so you may not want to read any further.

A few weeks ago I posted some pics of a blown lower unit on my port motor. A few days after the unit failure I sent an email to my Mercury dealer explaining the problem. Apparently my email was blocked as spam. Since I had not heard from the dealer by the end of last week, I called them on Friday, around noon. I received a call late Friday afternoon from the dealer. He told me he sent a man to the marina to inspect the damage......before he left he replaced the entire LU. His words "you are good to go David".

What an outrage.......it took 4 hours to get a brand new LU installed on my boat as it sat at the marina. BTW - for those that think 4 hours is a long time......you are morons

If it was my motor company..they would have replaced my whole boat in the blink of an eye.

All kidding aside...sounds like you have a great dealer. I wish I could find one like that around here.
