Default Grady White Fisherman 222

Have been looking for a few months now for a DC boat and have gotten great advice and insight from the members here on THT. I have thought all a long that a DC was the way to go for fishing and family cruising. In my search I have found a lightly used 07' Grady 222 Fisherman CC. At the price he is offereing it at I think I have changed my mind and now want the CC. It has aft jump seats and the forward cushions. Also has the porta potti for the wife. It has an Yamaha F250. Anyone have any experince with this boat?

Thanks.

Thanks,

Chet

Real nice boat. The price I received last year at the boat show was around 63,000 witha a 250 and trailer. The only negative about the boat is the lack of room between the front cooler/seat and the casting deck. For an adult, you will have to have your feet straight out or sit to the side. I ended up repowering my 209 escape with a 225 honda but wish I would have made the move to go to the 222 now.

I recently sold my 1999 222. It is a great boat and I used it for everything from fishing the bay to running offshore. It's a very dry boat and can handle most situations. The only reason I sold the boat was to upgrade to something larger with twins.

Hello I have a 2006 Fisherman which I bought new with the 250 last year. I love this boat and so does my wife. I fish like crazy and now have about 240hrs on it. Like one of the other posters said the only problem is the bow seat up against the casting platform. I really don't understand the design there, its too tight. This being said its a great boat that can handle anything you can throw at it. We have been out 20+ miles in nasty conditions and had no problems.

I had upgraded from a Scout 185 and I never looked back. Well almost true the gas still kills me. Any questions ask away. Good luck!

Thanks for the comments. How does this boat compare to a Century 2200? Will the Grady ride better? The dealer where I have found a 2007 Grady Fisherman also has a 2005 Century 2200 w/ only 125hrs on a 225 Yamaha. New 2007 Aluminum trailer. He wants 30K for it. Wants 48K for the 2007 Grady w/ Yamaha F250 an aluminum trailer. The Grady has a Raymarine E-80 on it. 20hrs on the motor. Do these sound like good deals?

Went to look at the used 2007 Grady White Fisherman in Biloxi, Ms yesterday. The boat only had 25hrs on it. Yamaha F250. What a beauty!! The boat was perfect. I could not pass up the deal I got. I pulled the trigger after the sea trial. Paid 47K for the boat. It has a Magic Loader dual axle aluminum trailer as well. Options include T-Top, aft jump seats, porta potty, bow cushions, livewell in the deluxe lean bar, freshwater shower, raw water washdown, swim platform, Sony CD/Stereo and a Ray Marine E-80 GPS/Radar. Even had a custom cover that had never been used. The guy that traded the boat in bought it in July from Marine Max. Went out a few times with the family offshore and they all got sea sick. He decided salt water fishing was not for him. Traded the boat on a Triton Bass rig. I bet he took a beating. I will post pics soon. Thanks for all the input from the THT members!

That is a great price for that rig-- you will not go wrong-- I have seen several 2002-2004 boats priced in the low 40's--so you did really well--
