Was looking into moving into an express vessel and this Mfg has caught my eye. Does anyone have any feedback on this Mfg or there boats . I was looking at the 29 or bigger. I appreciate any information you may have. Thanks.

You can start by going to the owner's forum if you haven't already: http://www.albemarleboatowners.com/forums/

They were purchased by Brunswick in 2005 and have since introduced several new models. The 29, 33, 36 and 41C are all newer models, but a couple of those may have been started prior to Brunswick. I haven't been on any of the newer models, but the older ones are well built and well regarded. There are tons of converstations about them here on THT. Just type in Albemarle in a search. Good luck,
Todd

The new 36 is a great ride, and the 33 is a little short and rides more like the 31 with less dead rise. The 29 has just been released and was introduced at Ft Lauderdale. Albe was always a family run business until purchased by Brunswick, and most of the people are still there except for Scotty who was the president and owner. The company has very good customer support and manufactures quality boats. They have been for years a fishing boat company first, and a family boat way down the list. The new line of boats are more family oriented in the cabin areas, but that is where the ride is compromised. There are lots of questions to ask, whether you troll or drift, and if mostly cruising and drifting the 29 and 33 would be very good boats to evaluate.
