Default Cape Horn (Fabbro Marine) excellent service

I own an older (94) Cape Horn. Over the years I have busted a few items and every time I contact Fabbro Marine to source replacement parts I am amazed at how helpful they are and how quick they respond, even though my boat is going on 9 years old.

they are nice folks, southern hospitality abounds.

I called and asked them where they thought would be the best place for a transom mount transducer on my 17, the guy told me exactly the best spot, and even faxed me a hand-drawn note showing me where. He knew where the water flowed past the transom. Needless to say, the spot was perfect.

They are a small town boat company that brings lots of smiles and family time to the Gulf coast with strong, safe and affordable fishing boats.

Cheers!

Mark

They have always put someone on to talk to me the instant I call, they dont seem to mind any kind of question, I had a fuel sender go bad ( the only thing I have had to touch on either Cape Horn) they sent me an upgraded Tube style and told me I would never have a problem with it again, they never made me prove I even owned the boat, they just shipped it. When you talk to someone, there is a good chance you are talking to one of the Family, I have talked to Chris Fabro's father while he delivered boats to my dealer, they are all very nice people.

chorn, I know you have owned several Cape Horns. There is a poster who complained that the console on his Cape 17 "rattled" and was "flimsy". Is that consistent with your experience?

The guys at Cape Horn really go out of there way to back there product up, they are great people to deal with and will do what ever it takes to make the customer happy! They even worked with me to make my new 23 as custom as I wanted, I am on my 3rd Horn and have been very pleased with the customer service.

Stretch, I just saw this post a few minutes ago, I have never had anything rattle on either I have owned, the guy is from Destin who knows, like I said over on the other page, he owns a 26 seavee and a 23 seacraft, It would be hard to give glowing reports about a 17 in this niche, you post did not come off confrontational to me.

Teamhardcore, would you give me your e-mail address? I would like to discuss the particulars of your "custom" Cape Horn 23. I am very interested in the Cape 21 but there are some things I would like to do with the T-top and leaning post on the boat to accommodate my 6'6" height.

when my friend bought one of the new ones, he was told that cape horn did not make the console. yes it rattles, the whole front flips up, it needs to have rubber bumpers to soften contact between the flip up part and the rest of the console. Easy to fix if take inclination.

I agree mbb,

The whole of the lift up cover is glass against glass, and it will play while the boat is juking.

Some weather stripping would probably do the trick, although I haven't messed with mine.
