Default Check Engine Light.?

I launched my boat yesterday for a quick run down the river to check things after a service. Soon after starting the starboard Honda BF225 the Check engine light and buzzer activated. I shut it down and pulled the cowl. I couldn't see anything obvious. I had a guy with me look at the engine while I started it again. The warning didn't activate again. Put the cowl back on and restarted. The warning activated. I decided to run the boat on one engine to check a few things. Once clear of the ramp, I made a few autopilot adjustments and checked the steering controls. Everything was OK so decided to start the sb engine again. I ran the boat at cruise for 20 min or so and the warning never reactivated until I powered back to idle. Loaded up the boat and towed it back to the shop.

I haven't had a chance to check the manual but the guy that was with me said the engines would sense a fuel leak under the cowl. Has anyone heard of this?

Thanks,
Aubrey
