Default Rip in cover

My Cover has a 3 inch rip in the very middle, no idea how, and I am wondering the best method o repair it. It is a custom cover for a Skeeterzx 22bay. Bought the boat and cover, used, in July. Returning the cover to the maker is out so I'm looking for ideas. Thanks

A lot depends on what type of material your cover is made of. Try to find a local top shop or upholstery shop and let them repair it for you. Should not cost you very much, if the tear is not bad then they should be able to fix it right on the spot for you or quick turnaround and will save you some headaches as well.

Try a large fabric shop... just got some marine canvas and spray polyurethane adhesive at one to repair a cover. Getting it stitched would be better but the spray does a decent job.

Have you thought about putting a big emblem over the repair? Maybe your favorite team, or the logo for Skeeter...

This way you're not just covering up the repair, you're also adding a little extra strength and personalization.

You can also use a iron on patch like the ones for jeans. They come in all colors. I had a peacock jump up on my new canvis for the t-top and it worked fine for 4 years now. I even used one on the seats of one of my sons cars.

PoPs lives on a island in the intercoastal and we have had 50 peacoks running around for 30 years and they like to perch as high as they can and when I take it back up there and put it on the lift I hang a rubber snake on the mini tower now. I guess it did sound funny but thats what happend.

Sail Repair Tape will fix small tears as long as they're not under directional stress. West Monopoly sells it. It comes in a "transparent" tint.
