Default About to join the club!!

After looking for quite some time I have a purchase and sales agreement on a 2005 Robalo 225 WA with a Honda 225 OB. We are going to use it in LI Sound for family/fishing. It is being surveyed this morning. Even though I love winter in New England I can't wait until spring. I did have a sail boat for one season but never had a power boat before.

I have one issue/question: Boat is in Florida and I am in Connecticut. We did take one trip to sea trial / work the deal but I can't get down there again. I have lined up the surveyor and transport but I am looking for someone to shrink wrap / prep the boat for the transport to CT.

If I was there I think I could winterize myself. Ideally I would like to find someone in the Miami area that might be able to to both for me. If anyone knows of such a person please respond.

By the way, is there an initiation right to boat ownership? I was thinking of lining up a bunch of $20 bills on a window sill, opening the window and letting them fly out.

Dont worry about the $20 bills. Once you close on the boat they will spontaneously combust in your wallet.

Congratulations on you r boat. You will add more to your life than you probably realize right now. Enjoy and be sure to keep us posted on your adventures and fish stories! I grew up on L.I. sound and it is a wonderful place to fish and boat.
