Default trailer bunk brackets

Question for those with bunk trailers: do you find that the weight of your boat pushing against the top of the bunks actually bends the supporting brackets of the bunks? I have a tandem axle trailer for a 24ft Baha Cruisers. Both bunks (probably a little more on the port side) lean outward when the boat is loaded. Should there be some flex in the brackets? Do I need reinforcement? Thanks.

My trailer guy noticed the same thing happening to mine. 24' Pursuit. He doubled the support brackets on the inside. Put them back to back. It's fine now.

I added reinforcements to the center brackets by welding a 90 degree brace to each outside bracket. It worked very well to keep the top of the bunks from leaning. While the brackets were still hot from welding, I sprayed them with a couple of coats of cold galvanizing paint and they aren't rusting from 2 years of saltwater baths.

Not sure how to "double up" though, none of the holes line up if you just add another factory bracket.
