Default BW Stainless Folding Deck Chair

Does anyone use the Boater's World Outer Banks Outfitters stainless steel folding deck chair? They are on sale thru 11/25, thinking of buying a couple, but would like to hear others experiences. Thanks.

If they are the "Garelick" brand, I have two.....double footed all the way around is what I have. For durability reasons.

They're okay......make sure ya still wash them off good, though.

Use them for kids and old folks on my boat.

I've got the Kingfish ss folding deck chairs from West Marine. HavWe don't use them for offshore fishing trips (use the beanbags for that), but do use them when we're going cruising. So far, so good.

I got the Kingfish II chairs from West Marine. They seemed like great chairs at first, but the seat cushion backing is particle board or such. On both my chairs, within 6 months of light use, the seat got soft and collapsed. I just talked to West Marine about this yesterday. Apparently, this was a very common problem with these chairs and the newer versions have supposedly been modified. West Marine agreed to refund me full store credit, but I don't know yet if they will refund the shipping charges. I forgot to ask about that part.

I think I may try the Garelick chairs next.

as the Floater mentioned the west Marine chairs cushion backing is made from particle board. I had to take a piece of Aluminum 3/16 and make a plate for under the cushion backing to rest on so my anglers wouldn't break thru. A few heavy weights on them and they will be broken. They should have tested these first before selling junk made in China that doesn't last then you have to complain to the company and have them make good on the goods if you are lucky. What happened to the old deck chairs wit the canvas bottom and backs they worked well back in the 60's on my dads boats.

We have had great luck with the canvas folding camp chairs. They are very stable and comfortable on the boat not to mention cheap. They are great for the island when beaching the boat and they fold away and store very easily. We gave up on the Garelick chairs years ago and have been using the oversized camp chairs ever since. Give em a try, at less than $20 each you can't go wrong.

Those padded vinyl SS and Aluminum deck chairs don't fold up very small, make sure you have somewhere to stow them when you want the cockpit clear. I had 2 and ended up putting them in the garage, too hard on the boat to stow quickly.

We now use folding aluminum/canvas deck chairs because they are thin and light, very easy to get out of the way when the cockpit gets busy.

I've wanted to try the bag chairs but have been afraid that the black plastic "feet" will mark the deck.

I have had no issues with the feet marking the deck. We run with two in the corners of the cockpit and put the cooler in between, works great.
