Any one have any input on these engines? Considering a boat 1997 powered w/ twins.

One of the more trouble free and reliable Marine diesels there is. Parts and service readily available. Just be certain to have a good Cummins Certified tech do a complete engine Survey before purchase.

Motors good, make sure you check out the water pumps, could need rebuilding after 10 years.Also the sherwood Raw water pumps have been brought up countless times on many forums.
If the transmission coolers have not been replaced then do it, there not that expensive . Not trying to deter your decision, I would jump on a pair of cummins any day- Just giving you a heads up to look at a couple things.
