Default Fish locker / Fish Box issue HELP

I have a 2003 Trophy Pro 2302. The fish boxes are on the deck and they fill up with water. It's no big deal when I am on the boat, but when I come back after any rain the boxes are filled with water. Terrible draining design. Anyone seen or have any suggestions on how to fix this?

Thank you
Alberto

Only three ways to fix it. Boat cover. Seal the hatches somehow. Remove the boxes when not in use and let the bilge pump take care of the water.

seal them like this with hatch seal from any marine store - glue it in place with silicone:

further, they still leak a bit in hurricane situations. Since the boxes are clean, I installed a drain plug so they never go more than 1/4 full and it drains in the bilge and out the drain plug or bilge pump...
