Those DI's are nice boats, but I don't know about the current ownership & dealer setup. They really have jacked up the price of the boats. I had considered getting one a couple years ago, but I won't waste my time on a company that only builds 20 or so boats a year. They never have been able to provide any customer support. They are beautiful well built boats, IMO. It surely doesn't need quads on it though. The one I test drove in miami a few years ago hit 70 and we were just above 3/4 throttle with trip 225 EFI Mercs on it. They are awesome riding IMO. I just can't afford to put that kind of money into a boat that has no dealer network, except a Yellow FIN. The YF's reputation for quality preceeds itself.
BTW, they had Factory white 275 verados on a HydraSport this year at the Miami boat show.

Yuck Yuck and more Yuck. From the first drawing I saw nearly 8 years ago, to the plugs being built by vectorworks to the finished product today, I still say YUCK! The bottom was designed by the same guy that designed the Callan 50' deep V and from what I'm told its a half way decent bottom but the styling does nothing for me. What I was told back when they were still at the design phase was that the designer had just left Sea Ray after designing the next generation of Sea Rays. I thought it was BS since none of the new Sea Rays looked anything like these boats, but the Sea Rays today share similar styling cues.

couldn't agree more fugly.....
The directive given to the designer by the owner of the company was to design a boat that looked like his 1955 chevy. NO JOKE!
What I told the owner of the company when he approved the design of these boats was that they would look dated quickly. Its been my experience that highly stylized boats don't age gracefully, take a look at a 10 year old azimut/ferretti/sunseeker and you'll see what I mean.
It has a great bottom, designed by one of the best. It is the old Sterling boat. Go for a ride, then you will understand. I will also be in KW this weekend for the poker run, Ill take a few more pics, if anyone intersted.
I've heard very mixed feelings about the ride. My dad has a friend with one that I sell fuel to. He says the boat rides awesome. Another guy I know that fishes on one says it pounds big time. I havn't ridden one so it's all hearsay.
One thing's for sure, I can't stand the console. Wood, or anything that resembles it, doesn't belong in the driving area. Kind of like a Mercedes-Benz. Everything is so over done. It would fit right in the movie Scarface.

Thats wrong, the sterling was designed by Michael Peters, the Deep Impact was an all original design whose bottom was designed by John Cosker. The sterling and the deep impact have nothing in common.
Well I saw the boat last Saturday heading home from Miami. Yes, it made a Deep Impact on me. Quad 300 Verados! What on earth for? Is there a contest going to see who can pack the most HP on a transom. Crazy! Told my neighbor about it when I got home. Now he's a guy that owns his own jet and somewhere's around 8000 apartments in the midwest, yes 8000 apartments. He can afford anything and he agreed totally crazy, what for!!!!
Is this boat part of a really big pissing contest or is it for the guy that has "short comings" in another so he can feel like a man?

The boat that beat all these guys was the 1985 40' Mid Ocean with 5 outboards. I see no reason for 4 engine boats, I have had identical hulls rigged with 4 engines and 3 engines, as far as the speeds were concerned a properly set up 3 engine boat will be faster. In the old days we had 4 engine boats so that if one blew you could get the "cargo" back home on 3...
Not trying to bash as my teammate owns one and he will agree with what I say; but we fished a 33 DI in last years Miami SKA tournament as a substitute boat. The seas were 3-4 feet and we got the crap beat out of us, I was literally sore for days. My teammate who owns the boat even said "it is not an offshore fishing boat, that is for sure". We broke all kinds of things on the boat from the 2 day tournament, we all felt bad and have never used that boat again.
I'm not thrilled with the looks, but I know the boat does attract attention.
I saw same boat in Tavernier & spoke to dealer about it. Buyer had it painted and vinyl replaced with leather to match his Ferrari. Would go 83 mph at 100 gallons fuel/hr burn. Not for fishing.
