How are we THT members going to recognize each other at the various upcoming boat shows thruout the nation? I suppose we could wear a red rose
over our right ear? Unless someone has a better idea (W-N-W)

I think its time for the Shirts or Hats or maybe we can just use generic stick-on labels you get at conferences and such and put THT on them or something.

Why fight it - we'll probably have to meet at the Scout or Yamaha displays

The CT (CMTA) Boat show is the last weekend in Jan - the 30th till feb 2 at the Civic Center. I am planning to go. This weekend is the CT Power boat show at the expo center in Hartford - anyone been there on the past? Is it any good?

A similar post on dockside chart posted by me a few minutes ago...

Possibly a sew on embroidered patch with a captain's club membership?

I like the lillogo.gif design? (upper right corner)

The embroidered patch is a good idea. Maybe Wiley could put something together and sell it to Captain's Club members. Make some additional money and provide some incentive to join. If they were changed from time to time, the early ones might become sought after by nautical collectors.

I WONDER WHY SOME OF THE VENDORS DON'T HAVE BIKINI CLAD BABES AT THEIR DISPLAYS. I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYBODY DO IT, EVEN FOUNTAIN,SCARRAB, AND THE GO FAST MANUFACTURERS. DO THEY DO THIS AT THE BIG SHOWS LIKE MIAMI AND FT. LAUDERDALE. IN CHARLOTTE, ALL YOU HAVE IS SOME IDIOT RACE CAR DRIVER SIGNING AUTOGRAPHS.

I believe it was Sonic at the Ft Lauderdale show that had women struttin around in dental floss. I forgot who it was, but who ever had the Dolphins cheerleaders inside the convention center signing autographs, sure got a lot of attention.

I thought you were going to suggest that THT members all wear bikinis. That would get the manufacturers' attention.

Someone send me a THT logo and I'll have shirts ready by the Miami Show.

The alternative is shirts that simply read:

THE HULL TRUTH
BOATING FORUM

or

I WANT THE TRUTH!
www.thehulltruth.com

No fancy logo, design etc.

I would be damn proud to wear a sport shirt or pocket tee shirt with the logo you have in the upper left hand corner of each forum.

That is the one with the sportfisher, with the sun, moon, or all around light or whatever it is you have over it, with "THE HULL TRUTH" below, "www.thehulltruth.com" below that, and "The Most Popular Boating Forum On The Internet!" below the IP address.

That would look damn sharp embroidered on the front of a knit sport shirt, or even on the front of a ballcap.

Now the $64,000 question. How many members / Captains Club members would pony up say $40 for a sportshirt or $20 for a ball cap with this logo?

Start your count with one each from me! I've saved much more than $10 for CC membership, and $60 for apparel from the advice on this site, and would be proud to tell that to the world!

Just make sure you offer shirts in XXL for us big guys!

Put my order in for whatever you decide to manufacture with the Hull Truth logo on the top left of this page. I personally would prefer an embroidered patch instead of a hat, and a t-shirt. Thanks WNW

Put me in for both

How about "the hull truth" around the pucket area surrounding the captains wheel. "Namely Yours" in FLA used to make custom boating shirts and the wheel was one of their standard offerings. The White Columbia shirt on the HydraSports apparell website is nice. You can probably get the same material cheaper in other brands.

The shirts should be that type with a little texture to them - not the combed cotton.

Navy Blue with Gold embroidery is sharp. Or white with navy or black or even Gold embroidery

Do we have to have 2 cycle oil in the bottle?

(if the THC apparrel is not ready in time) ..we could
wear a fishing or baoting related baseball cap with an old fishing lure (de hooked) pinned to the brim.

How about THT Pennants for our boats like the Yacht clubs have, and pin versions to put on our lapels or hats at boat shows? The pins can't cost more than a buck or so....it may be a good way to support the form if you charged $10. or so....
