Saturday I had the Boatpix cchopper circle me with the camera man hangingout Im sure they took my pics as they waved when they left. my question is I filled out the info and my email on there website, do they respnd by email to let me know they have the pics or do they just show up i the mail to chose from?
I used to fly for them a few years back. If memory serves correctly, they used your registration numbers to obtain your address. They will then send you proofs with a watermark in them. You can then order and get the real pics after you give then an arm and maybe a leg. =)
I think that is how it was done then. Dunno for sure about nowadays.

Yep. that's how it worked last year when I got mine done. expensive, but good pics. I also filled out the online form, but I don't think that sped the process much, it still took several weeks.
Boatpix does not use your registration number to look up your address. If you want a pic, you have to contact boatpix and fill out their form and send to them. They id your boat via your registration number but do not send you anything in the mail unless you request it and give them a cc number for the proofs.

They sent me a letter indicating that they had pics, asking me to return the form or go to their website if I was interested.
I ordered from them. Got letter in mail (two separate occasions) saying that they had taken pics of my boat on xyz date and if I wanted them, I could order with no obligation. If I liked the pics, keep and pay dearly. If I didn't like the pics return within ten days. The pics were great. Paid dearly. I wouldn't worry too much about giving them cc info, as I am sure they would not want to screw with their customer base (boaters) for no good reason.
