Just got back from the Raleigh boat show and the 23 Pathfinder was the only thing that stood out. Aside from the funky T Top and front entry console, this was a very well thought out boat. I was very impressed. The gunwales were a little wide, and the console was a little wide, limiting access to the foward deck, but that's like putting down Cindy Crawford for that little mole thing.
Any first hand experience with this boat??
BTW, $55K with F225 - Boat Show Special.
Also, this boat really looked like a Contender/Yellowfin take off.
Sure wish Bluewater made some of the local boat shows.
Bluewater is bigger, not cheaper, and they're probably 6 months behind now! I think the Pathfinder is as almost big as the Triton, 23'6", 8'6" beam. Plus, it only weighs 2300 lbs so it should be a real fuel efficient hull, which may be real improtant if gas prices are $2.00 at the marina this summer. It's almost the exact same size as the 23 Contender, with a extra 6" beam.
Plus, with Bluewater, I've got to go to Florida to get it, and ???? for service!
SeaPA, this is another 23 you might want to take a look at. This one will be complete in less than a month. Can't wait to see her finished and take her first a spin.
Yeah, that one is on my VERY short list! That should be a sweet rig. You know, that Pathfinder really favors the Yellowfin. What is the backlog on the 23 YF??
I've crawled around on the 23 Pathfinder also, and it does seem to be a quality boat. I don't care for the front opening console, and the console is a little too tall for my taste, but overall its impressive. The wiring really impressed me, and the access to pumps, etc. Like any 23, storage space is limited. I wasn't impressed with the leaning post, coaming pads and curtains. A local could have done a much better job on those. The T-top (Key West style) is ugly and is only built that way because there is no rod storage under the gunnels. That would have been easy to do, and leave the T-top alone, but who knows...it may catch on.
