Default Twin Vee owners - New Twin Vee coming out.

At the FT Lauderdale boat show I was looking at their bay cat and made a comment to the rep that I wish it was bigger.
He said that they have a new 22' single engine bay boat coming out in January. With the new finish they have I'm actually considering it. In case you haven't seen the new 2008's the interior finish is MUCH improved.

So - to TV owners, what is your opinion of the ride and overall quality of the boat? I know their not a luxury boat, but as far as ride and dependability?????

Also - I'd really rather have a Verado instead of the Zuke, has anyone done this?

Glad to hear Twin Vee is improving. I had a 243cc Everglades with a 250 Verado and I sold it because it was just not made to go offshore and be comfortable. Bought a new 29cc Twin Vee with 250 Suzukis and I love it. I know the Twin Vee's take a beating on this forum and I know that the fit and finish are not top-of-the-line, that being said it is still and awesome boat. I have fished off of Gradys and World Cats and others that are supposed to be at the top of the food chain but none of them(and I mean none of them) ride and are as comfortable to fish out of as the 29cc Twin Vee. I have had absolulety no problems with the boat or the engines. Get 2 mpg at 3500-4000 rpm's and am running about 35 mph. Handles 2-3's with ease and when it really starts getting bad it still rides very well and does not pound you to death. It very seldom sneezes and when it does it is very little. It is certainly worth your time to take a ride in a Twin Vee. Don't let the people on this forum make up you mind for you. I am telling you, it is an awesome boat. WOT is 50 mph.

Helps to answer my question from a previous thread.

I'd seriously consider a twinvee for my next boat. With a 22' single engine bay boat, they may have just come as close to anyone in coming up with a "perfect" boat, or one that does offshore and inshore equally well. The 22 they have now looks nice, but the twin engines makes it somewhat economically impractical. With a single engine, this is looking really good. Can't wait to see pics.

I have an 2007 Twin Vee 19' Family Fisherman with a Suzuki 115 4 stroke. It is a "large" & roomy 19 footer, and I'm still amazed by the ride. If a single engine 22 had been available I would have considered it strongly. I wanted something I could handle at the ramp alone and was easy on the wallet for operating costs. I'm really happy with this boat's ride. I did find the operation a little counter-intuitive after years of V-hulls, but got used to it quickly. I have had it out in various choppy conditions and really like it. For my usage needs it is great. I'm surprised by the bashing I have read here about these boats, but I am very satisfied with mine.

I was at the factory a few weeks ago and they told me that the new 22 will be out shortly. Jim

one of my buddies has the 19 baycat and its awesome. Most roomy 19 I've ever been on. And fast with the 115 Zuke on it.
