Pursuit Denali 2460 Experience? Willowsman:
Can't say exactly about skiing, wakeboarding, but have spent some time in this boat. My cousin bought new approximately 5 years ago. We fish Great Lakes for Salmon, he does a little short-hop type crusing, nothing extended. Boat works out well for fishing, construction is solid, seating for a fishing type boat is excellent. He has the Mercruiser IO with mid-size V8 and duo prop option, believe it's the Bravo 1 outdrive. He's had no major issues with anything, to my knowledge. The type resin used must be very good, as he's kept in various marinas (in a slip) and has not bottom painted, nor barrier coated, etc. When asked about cleaning his bottom, he just says that he needs clean off the algae and slime as soon as it comes out of water, he also puts on a coat of wax or two in Spring. The boat gets on plane very easily with three of us aboard, wake seems a little on the smallish side. I don't know any reason why the boat wouldn't work well for activities like your interested. His boat also has the trim tabs built in, located under the transom. They do not protrude out behind the transom, but seem to work well. Also, boat is not difficult loading on trailer, he uses a Powerwinch. About the only negative, if you can call it that, are the scuppers. These are located in the corners of cockpit and do drain overboard. However, depending upon amount of fuel, and individuals, he will frequently get a small amount of water bubbling up through the scuppers. Depending upon the load, a small puddle may form on either the Port or starboard aft corners. Not positive, but am thinking this is primarly when we're in some kind of rough water and fishing. |
