Marsea,

My hatches are the same as the 295, one for intake & the other for exhaust. That makes sense to me for getting rid of gases.

We be from
Taunton River
Massachusetts

Hmmmmm.......

I dunno
I guess they put mine in wrong if the rest of them are 1 fore & 1 aft facing.
as far as venting, I always at least have the center curtain rolled up in the back
so with the hatches up, air passes right through.

You are officially forgiven for forgetting the camera that day

As this boat is a prototype, and given the fact that one can tell so much from pictures alone....

It looks like they tried to please everybody...and did a pretty good job at it too.

Some negatives (my 2c):
- Helm electronics area is too small. Should be able to fit a 12' and a 8' display by today's standards.
- Livewell too small (dimension-wise). Maybe that cooler (?) behind the starboard seat can be converted to a second livewell
- Aft seat not very fishing friendly
- Looks like a tight squeeze to get to the aft bed

Some positives (my 2c):
- Finally a thought through windlass/anchor locker design
- In floor fishboxes
- Hard top with speakers/lights/e-box etc.
- Great helm seating
- Great cabin
- Looks fantastic overall

Is it based on the same hull as the 282 sportfish?
Keep the pics coming please

nicktg-
I'm told the hull is slightly different from the 282 Sportfish, just like my 262 Abaco is different than the 26 Sportfish.
There is a huge draining box under the Starboard seat.
Aft seat folds down for fishing
Any specific additional pics you want? I took a bunch......

That is one nice looking boat. Thanks for posting. Wonder how is will compare price-wise to my HS 2900VX.

Nice pictures! But I think I like the interior layout of the HS Vector 2900vx a bit better. I'll need to see both in person to compare.

I believe the 262 Abaco and the 262 Sportfish hulls are identical.

Hi rotordriver,

Actually the hulls are different. I asked this question when I watched them build my 262 (I live 30 min. away from the factory). They originally tried the same hull, and didn't like the ride. The center of gravity is further forward on the cabin boats, so they changed the hulls. How many manufacturers would bother to do that (have 2 different hulls the same length)? Not many I think......

Very nice looking boat. If my wife saw that back seat I might have to buy one!

How close is the helm seat to the port side lounge seat. The port side lounge kooks very close to the helm in the pics.

Fit and finish are excellent, but it seems to me, that like all Scouts, its small for its size!
