Default Loadmaster trailer question

If anyone has a Loadmaster trailer can you tell me how far do you put the trailer in the water to put the boat on?

depends on the boat ramp, water depth, etc... however... i use the fenders as a guide... back it down just deep enough for the diamond plate on the fenders to fall underneath the water line....

Do you want the V on the front of the trailer in the water or just out?

I back it down until the front corners of the fenders are just above the water. If the water is rough or the wind is blowing towards the ramp, I'll leave more of the fender exposes and winch it the rest of the way or power the boat on.

after a couple times you will know how far to back in the water-- all ramps have their own quirks

Same here. Fenders just under the water. With my bow pulpit, if the trailer is any lower the pulpit hits the winch stand (my trailer has forward bunks which lift the front of the boat up as it goes on the trailer).

That is EXACTLY what I do. About 1/2 inch of water above the diamond plate, and I'm golden on most ramps.

I back in until the water is about 6" behind the bolt heads that hold the center brace for the fenders.
