Default Palmetto 33

As title says, im looking at the Palmetto 33. Im looking at one with 300 Verados and the extra fuel thx to someone's advice here. Of course id love a Yellofwfin, but you know how it is. The Palmetto seems like alot of boat for the money. Any opinions appreciated. I have been on one at the dealer quite a few times, but it has 275 Verados and no extra fuel, and i told them id rather wait for the boat show and i wanted the 300's and the extra fuel. Surprise.....one comes in to the dealer on friday with the 300's and extra fuel. I saw one at the sandbar today at Elliott Key and as i was leaving i passed by him and he said he loved it. Funny.....i saw a Contender 33T right next to him with trip 250's but im undecided.....and the 33T looked slightly smaller. I really dont want trips.

I had the pleasure of fishing one about a year ago - it is my dream boat. Dry, smooth, everything well laid out and at hand...it was perfect. I would get one before a Yellowfin.

Just don't take her on I-4 in Orlando! They like road rash lately...

What are you gonna do with the 218 when you get the 33?

I have no motivation to go up in size right now but it is a good time to buy. What is the lead time for a new custom Palmetto right now?

I hope to sell my 218cc first. Me being a spine doc im trying "preventive medicine" for my back....plus it is too small for the family. If i dont have any takers or if i just dont want the hassle, i might try to trade it in to the dealer who sells me the Palmetto. There isnt a wait really unless you want a major custom job.

that sounds great.....if it didnt have the 300hpdi's it would be a huge temptation. Keep the info coming. So far i have heard 117K for a new demo boat with 15 hours and electronics.

doctodd, I have a 2004 33 palmetto with df250's have owned the boat since new and have about 900 hours on it. I live in sc where it is 70 miles one way to blue water and this boat has been perfect for this mission, it is the most undervalued and underrated large center console out there it does have its faults the wiring while I have had no problems with it I have been making improvements with it since I bought it .The boat also has some minor fit and finish stuff which I have made improvements to you can pm with any other questions.one comment on the 33t, it is actually a little longer and the console smaller but the palmetto has more dead rise 24.5 degrees and plenty of bow flair which contender just started doing.

doctodd I have fished on a rigged palmetto and it is a great boat. the ride is smooth and the finish work is right up there with the best companys.

I have seen this one in person. awsome boat and the engines have had all the updates with zero problems

That is a sexy beast. But I think the prospect is finding newer demos w/ far less hours for $20k more. Financially I think both finds are good though. The one I fished was $120k or thereabouts.
