I have the 06' 26' center console, and have no complaints. The range on mine with the 140's is unbelievable. I fish out of LA. and AL. out to 105 miles one way with no problem. I actually put mine for sale on the classifieds here to get the 29' so I can fish more people. I bring 5 and fish confortable now. They dont come with fish boxes, but I purchased a 320 quart ice chest that I put behind the livewell, and people sit on it, so it wasnt that big of deal.
For all the bad rap TV gets everyone I know that owns one around here seems to like them for what they are. The 26 makes for a good ride across the sound to the Chandelier area. 3 to 4 ft chop is common and it seems the TV 26 eats it up. For the money they are hard not to look at. Hard to beat a good ride that can also go skinny.
I have an older 26 weekender after having their 19, I have no compalints, alot of bang for the buck back then....not so much now....an 08 is probably more than 75K....for that money I'd look at a lightly used world cat or glacier bay....there is a dealer near me that has a TV, 26ft, 2005 CC with 140's, 180 hrs, clean, beefed trailer....will probably take 37-38K...that is a deal on a decent boat......Mick

The TV26 is probably one of the best value 26CC out there.
THE GOOD
Lost of rear fishing deck space
Great fuel economy
Big centered livewell
Awesome casting front platform
Smooth catamaran ride
Plane on one engine
Affordable
THE BAD
Not aestically pleasing (IMHO)
Low freeboard
Only 120 gallon fuel tank (for this size boat - should be 150+)
THE UGLY
No fish boxes - Sit-on cooler instead
No hard top - soft top only
Rhino floor - gelcoat's nicer
I THINK it has the regular gunnels....I'll go buy today and see....I don't like the caps they put on now...more weight....mine has full rails, (most do)....lower freeboard in a non-issue...with 120 gallons, my range is over 250 miles....that's enough for me.....Mick
I agree with slickster on range...I have 225 mile range, so fuel is not an issue. Also, the fishbox is not a big issue if you do your homework and get a good cooler that fits right. I have a 325 Icey Tech that fits behind the leaning post and works awesome as a seat/work area and fish box. The boat is not perfect, but works great for me. It's nice to run 210 miles and only burn 90 gallons!

If you look on their site, TV used to advertise the 26 to get 3.5 mpg at cruise, now say 2.9 and your real life numbers are closer to 2.3. This sounds more realistic.
Do you see water dripping from the sponson drains when she is on the trailer?
It drains out for a second, but not long. I never expected to get 3.5MPG, but am still happy with 2.3 considering that I usually have a full load (6 people) and a bunch of gear at 35mph.

Thanks for pointing that out. Only reason why I even glanced at TV was because of the 2.9 mpg at cruise for a 26 foot boat. Real numbers at 2.3 mpg. Pass on TV.

All performance reports on all boats are optomistic light boat tests, and 150 gallons on a offshore boat is around 1100 lbs.
And Catamarans are more sensitive than monos to extra weight, especially the small ones.
