Default midnight express cc

Anybody own or ridden in the new (newish) 39 ft midnight express center console that is being built in Pompano - Florida. I am looking for the best riding center console in 3-5 ft head or following short seas at speeds of about 30 knots. Would love to hear from people who could compare it with the big contenders, intrepids or fountains.

Those Midnights are one awsome machine. Just ask the US Customs, though they are a heavy boat and do require power to move them.

Midnight is a very heavy and strong boat that will run through heavy seas nicely. However, they require lots of power and are not the speediest vessels out there. With triple 225s you're looking at mid 50s. I have been running a lot of demos in Fountain's new 38 LX this past week and it is awesome and I think is a direct comparison for the Midnight. The ride in a head sea is phenominal, beats down a 4 foot chop like it's nothing and will do it at 45 mph too. Coming in the inlet on Monday I found 64 mph and climbing before I came off the throttles. That boat is powered with triple 250 Optis. Fuel burn is about 40 gph total at a 45 mph cruise with the 250s.

The Sterling 38 is an interesting-looking option in that size range...
