Default Anyone ever bend an axle stub on a torsion axle?

The left front wheel on my tandem torsion axle trailer definately appears to have some serious negative camber. I can see it pretty clearly in my rear view mirror, and the inside of the tire is bald (others have like 50% tread). Tire leans in about 5 degrees I would guess. The stubs are removable (big nut on the ****** and I have a spare with hub and bearings etc mounted on the trailer carrying the spare tire. I am tempted to put a piece of pipe on it and try to straighten it. I must have hit a serious pot hole or jumped a curb, don't recall doing that but maybe I did. Probably should take it apart and put spare stub on it and look at it...
Anyone with the same experience?

i bent one but it was from bearing failure and it heated up and bent, i would change it out or at least rmove it and see if its bent, but it sounds like the ruber that its mounted in may have a problem, if the shaft is straight it would almost have to be that or your axle tube could be bent as well, good luck

I was thinking maybe I bent the arm, but it looks to be cast....... Was hoping to hear someone say they had the same thing happen... Gotta fix it before I dump $500 on new tires and wheels..

If it is a torsion bar it will have compressed rubber on the inside of the axle tube. There is a possibility that the rubber may have rotted and the tracking has been knocked out of line. Have a look at the condition of the rubber inside the axle
