Default What is the heaviest rated 2" trailer ball?

I am getting a new brake system installed on the trailer for my cat... I had to get a new actuator as well...the ball size for this one is 2" even though it is rated 500lbs more than my current one (7500)

I can not find a 2" ball rated over 6000 lbs...seems like an issue. Am I missing something here?

I am no expert here but if you go to the following site and look at the interchangeable ball section under trailer balls they say that their 2"balls are rated for 10,000 lbs.

From my experence building stacker trailers, seems to me the DOT required 2 5/16" balls on trailers over 7,500 GVW. That's why they might be scarce. However as stated above you should be able to find one with a 1" shank which should suffice.
This was trailer Ser #100 we built in 2000 before I sold my interest in the plant:

It had a 13,300 GVW with 1,650#'s on the ball.

Go 2 5/16"

Yes you can get a bad azz 2" BUUUUUUUUUt the coupler aint got that rating.

Both halfs need to match.

And on a bumper pull trailer 6000 lbs rating is with the 2 1/2" receiver hitch.

and

If your going to buy a custom ball GET TWO cuz some asshole might steel one.

Stay with standerd parts it's way moe easy r
