Default Suzuki 250, Deal or No Deal?

Got a quote for a 2007 250 Suzuki rigged with ss prop, guages, controles, cabels, 6 year warrenty and tax for 16338 $. Yamaha 250 was 500 more but only a 3 year warrenty. My 225 2 stroke suzy took a crap a couple weeks ago at 1100 hours. I got quotes on the 250 suzuki from that low price to 18500. The 300 suzy was about 3k higher. Is there much difference in the maintance schedule between the Yamaha and tha suzuki?? I will be doning most myself if it is ok from a warrenty standpoint.

i have a df140 zuke' and it is great. you don't even hear the motor at idle.cost about 300 dollars to winterize at the dealer in Maine....My brother has a yamaha 4 stroke that he is equally pleased with.cost about 300 dollars to winterize in Massachusetts at his dealer. they are pretty equal in those respects. But mine has the six year warranty his only three. so they cost about he same to run, but the price is diferant and the zuke has piece of mind 3 years longer

sounds fair, but I'd never again buy a suzuki prop. get a powertech, or any other brand prop. My DF250's didnt do well with the installed 16 x 23 x 3. Word is that the suzi props arent cupped enough. If I had it to do over, I'd just not purchase a suzi prop and get an aftermarket prop to start. I love the DF250's though, and that sounds like a fair price for it, rigged.

What about the gauges? They prices this out with the needle ant the top and digital read out at the bottom guage. I see where is has the fuel flow built into it. The dealer wants another 900$ for the kit to do that. I will just stick with the FF41 fuel flow meter that has worked for me.

Sounds good to me, I just spent 14,300 on new F200, my Suzie 225 2 stroke crapped out also

I looked at the Suzuki but just do not see that many of them around here and you get some frowns from some mechanics so I went with the Yamaha.

I did get a quote on a 200 Suzuki not installed but with all rigging for 13K
