Default albury brothers boats

Any owners share their experience with these boats? How they ride offshore, fuel consumption etc. Any help would be great.

they are great boats....excelent construction and craftsmanship. The design and look of the boat is a love or hate. The 20 and 23 have a fairly low freeboard and a pretty flat deadrise....but the weight makes up a bit for the deadrise. $$pricey too

They have great lines but I'm not sure I like the notch transom.

I friend that has a 23' rigged with a 200 HPDI and he loves it. I helped him install the baitwell and was shocked how thick the glass was near the water line. They build them very heavy but keep most of the weight low to keep the center of gravity as low as possible. I just don't like the huge splashwell it takes up quite a bit of fishing space. I think if they closed in the transom and put the engine on a bracket it would be much better.

ya. There awesome looking boats, looks to have a nice deadrise. Not too big but heavy enough to ride some rough stuff if needed.

I saw their "factory" in the Abacos -- pretty cool. I guess most of the U.S. boats are now built in Fla. under license.

Best boat I ever owned...period.

Rides great, roomy cockpit, good looking, built like a tank, fit & finish of the highest quality. Everything form the wiring to the cleats are of top quality. The thing turns like it is on a rail and it is extremely dry. Mines a 20' with a 175hp Suzuki. Had it offshore about 9 miles recently with 4 big guys in some really big swells and the only other boats in the neighborhood were 25+ foot deep vees. Impressed the hell out of everyone on board. It's not perfect but darn close. Just came back from the Abacos where they are made and our neighbor there has had the same Albury Brother's boat for 15 years and uses it everyday for work, the same way someone in the states would use their pick-up... Not one stress crack in the glass. This guy knows the Albury's real well and he said, they are real happy with the quality of boat coming out of Florida and in fact the finish is a bit better, which is saying a lot.

I've owned a 23 and now a 20. They are extremely efficient, well built, dry and soft riding. Worth every penny!

they are real solid built boats
they were first build here in Abaco for the fishermen working the banks for lobster
simple, straight forward, no real fancy stuff you don't need on a boat
get in go fishing and wash her out when you get back at the dock
they maintain a great resale value as well
I would buy the 23'
just a little big bigger than a 20' but a world of difference
better ride and more room

Excellent riding boat, extremely soft re-entry in 2-3 head seas.. check out the 3rd pic..it shows how sharp the bow is..which basically slices through the wave and the spray rails disburse the water..also when anchored fishing in a cross wave..boat will bob up and down vs roll side to side. Very fuel effecient.. I was just averaging with my 23 225 Zuke over 3mpg at cruise...which was right around 28-29mph if I remember correctly. Solid built..just punch the side as hard as you can..solid thump vs a hollow sound. I'm looking at getting another Albury..but am also checking two other brands as well..one being a cat..
Good Luck Jeff

I love the boats but cant get over the lack of storage compared to many boats their size. If they would put some decent storage they would have something....Mark

They don't have lots of little compartments, but they sure have one big one forward not to mention a large console with seat storage, leaning post storage, and very large anchor compartment. Everyone has a different definition of 'decent' storage; every time I've had a boat with lots of little storage spaces I always forgot what was in them until they got moldy and smelly. I fish out of the four drawer tackle storage in the console and change out the drawers depending if I'm fishing the marshes or blue water and that system works fine for me. From your signature picture, probably not for you, but then Albury isn't advertised as a hard core fishing machine like the Contender.

I tow my boat from Savannah to Eastern Long Island in the summer and basically use the boat as a storage trailer for the trip. The front under deck storage compartment can only be described as huge. I normally carry the standard 4 pack of horse collars, a bucket, a full size tool box, deck brush and on top of that I've piled in 8 to 10 12 packs, 2 adult and 2 youth sets of golf clubs and various packaged grocery items.

She's on a mooring buoy at Shelter Island Yacht Club in Dering Harbor on the North side of Shelter Island across from Greenport. Sag is across from the South side of Shelter Island, maybe a 15 minute boat ride. She's across from the launch dock about a third the way in the grid. I think you know what she looks like. I'm taking good care of her, I promise!

Are you here for just the weekend? I taking my 9 year old to Atlanta Thursday to Monday to play in a baseball tournament. I was a customer that bought your product, but I trusted you implicitly and sight unseen with a large check and to all who read this, my trust was never misplaced and you cannot do business with a better person. You are a friend and I'm sorry if I'll miss you to shake your hand again. If you're in Sag on Tuesday I'll come over and buy lunch.

If you want to take someone for a ride, pm me and I'll give the key to the waterfront crew and tell them you're going to take her out.

I think there would be a market up here for the Albury runabout. Of course around Sag you'd have to contract with Prada do the the Class IV's.

Cool boats, it seems most 23's are rigged with 200hp or 225hp? Do they ever rig them with 300s or in the extra HP no benefit with the hull design.

I just got a 23 delivered last week with the new Yamaha 225hp 4.2 liter engine and the boat is topping out at 47-48 mph. I don't think you need the extra hp.
