Default aluminum magic!! this stuff works great!!

ok let me first say that i have not yet tried woody wax, but i sure am going to....with that being said, i came across a great product for cleaning/shining/coating aluminum. it is................................................ ....shiela shine!! anyone else tried it?? i used it on the tower and other aluminum on our 38' jbbw and it is great! i originally bought it, on a recommendation, for the stainless on our other boat. i found that on some stainless it works great but on most it leaves a film that is tough to get off. almost like the stainless is to smooth. let me tell you how easy this stuff is...you spray a small amount on a rag....wipe the rail...and that's it!! has anyone else tried this stuff?? maybe there is a down side that i don't know about, but if so i have not found it yet!!

Or buy on-line from the maker: http://www.sheilashine.com/ Will try some for the polishing, fast with the aerosol - thanks for the advice !

I've been satisfied with Bar Keeper's Friend as a cleaner, but notice the shine doesn't last but 2 weeks or so.

Thanks for the tip --

I have a new hardtop with lots of aluminum tubing and have been wondering what to use to clean amd most importantly to protect. It's interesting that their web site does not say anything about aluminum, just stainless steel and other surfaces.

I will try it.

Anyone else have good ideas for polished aluminum tubing?

has anyone out there ever used "FLITZ"?
check out their website. I will probably be giving them a try, at the very least their "polishing ball" looks like a must have.

if you guys try it let me know what you think. it has been a few days now and the aluminum hasn't turned green or anything!! i originally bought it for stainless and found that on some it works good and other it does not!! weird!!

....one more thing...john..i usually use collinites metal wax and it works great. that is what i use on all of our stainless, and there is a lot of it!! you just rub it on and rub it off. it cleans and protects. works good on aluminum also. thanks to everyone on here, i am going to try woody wax, but have not done so yet.
