Any fuel burn numbers for Intrepid 323?

The overall hull design looks pretty impressive and their quality is good. It has just slightly less deadrise at 21.5 degrees than most of the competition., so it should offer a little better than the usual 1.5 to 1.75 NMPG for something its size. Anybody know for sure?

The factory reps told me 2mpg or a little better with optis and top end @ 60. That was with 250s so I'd imagine the 300s would run better. Verados get similar mpg--the new ones especially. I would think low 60s with 300s is reasonable. If you can run into the 60s with twins you can generally find a cruise speed to get 2mpg. they pushed the Verados very hard when I talked with them.

On Maui, fuel is still about $4.00 per gallon, so the per mile cost has started to be more important than how long it takes to get there. I hate it that the gas is so stinkin' expensive that it costs about the same to drive your own boat as it does to take a cab!
