Hello, i am going to go crazy soon. i have a well that i use to wash my boat but even if a dry it the boat still turns orange from the water. I am getting a filter system soon to fix it but for now the deck and all vertical surfaces are orange. What would be the best route. I've tried soft scrub but it takes a lot of elbow work. Sno-Bol was suggested but that seems as harsh as soft scrub. Is there any thing else to try or am i doomed to spend hours scrubing than waxing.
Rust Aid from Home Depot. 9 bucks a gallon, spray it on and hose it off, no scrubbing what so ever. It really doesn't get any easier. I keep my boat in the water (dirty brackish water) and it stains my hull after just a few days.
Yup, just got back yesterday. Weather was perfect, a little bumpy on the way over but flat glass the rest of the weekend. Can't wait to get back August 9th.
We use Starbrite Hull Cleaner at work. The boats do get a little dirty looking from sitting in the water. Every 100 hr service we spray the bottom of the hull with the hull cleaner which is acid based. It cleans the hull right up easily.
Oh yeah, you are one week behind me this year. I'll be at the Sea Crest in August as the Big Game was booked. But the dock master at the BG and I have become very friendly over the last couple of years. He is going to make sure that I have a place to dock at the BG for the Tin Kin. I'll only be at the SeaCrest to sleep.
