Default Thinking about purchasing a 2001 SeaRay Amberjack 34 Cat Diesel
I am thinking about purchasing a 2001 Sea Ray Amberjack 34. It has 500 hours on CAT 3126TA diesels. Anyone know much about this boat? Any known problems? Is it under powered? Does it plane well. It is a straight inboard. Any other comments or concerns are welcome.

A good friend of mine has a 2001 34 amberjack however, his is gas powered (8.1 mercs). Great cockpit, nice accommodations, not as roomy as the 34 dancer since it does not have the aft cabin. His boat is scoots right along 3400rpm 26mph 25+gph. I've been on it one choppy day and she did pretty well. Have those cats surveyed!! Also read the posts on boatdiesel.com, lots of good info. Is it a cored hull and if so, what is it cored with?
