Default Ranger cayman 223 or Sterling/ shearwater

Im stuck between the Ranger Cayman 223 and a sterling or shearwater 22 ft. its hard for me to find a ride in these two boats in Louisiana so any pros or cons on these two will be greatly appreciated. i will be doing mostly costal fishing with only some runs through the rough stuff mainly the mississippi river, with an occasional bass fishing trip. either one will be powered by a 250.

Buy both, use them for a while then return the one you don't like.

Where in Louisiana are you? I have a new 2007 SW Z 2200, 250 proXS, happy to give a test ride. I have run Grand Isle to Venice to the mouth of SW pass and back to Grand Isle with this rig. Will jump up in duck ponds too, no problem.

a friend of mine has a ranger in lake charles and is a very good dry ride but the merc xb 250 is a thirsty animal. the boat does have a very good ride and very fast. i think he tops out around 72.
