Default Anyone going to West End on the 14th of July?

Looking for any boats going across from West Palm or Jupiter on Saturday. We are leaving early and staying the weekend @ OBB. Weather looks great so far but can never be to careful. I am in a 2360 Sailfish. Thanks THT!

Default RE: Anyone going to West End on the 14th of July?

LostShaker, we have our Annual Bluewater Bahamian Rendezvous starting that weekend. For Saturday, we have a group of Single engine boats leaving out of Palm Beach Inlet for West End leaving at the crack of dawn. We also have some twin engine boats leaving out of Jupiter Inlet also at the crack of dawn. Most will be clearing at WE. The single engine bluewaters will be cruising at 25-30mph, the twin engine boats at 35-40mph, sea conditions permitting. I would suggest you be at one of those inlets Saturday morning (depending on whether you're single/twin powered). If you miss hooking up with them, just know that there are 9-10 Bluewaters leaving Palm Beach/Jupiter Inlets that am for West End. If you can't go on Saturday, there will be another batch leaving Sunday crack of dawn. They'll be monitoring Channel 74 and will answer to "Bluewater Rendezvous" related calls. Between these two groups you should be able to maintain radio contact either way. Have a great trip.

Thanks a million db. I have a twins but usually cruise over between 27-32MPH for fuel savings. I will be leaving super early on that Sat as well. Its very nice to stay in contact. Are most staying @ OBB or going on after they clear? Thanks again!
