does anyone have any experience with these boats? i am interested in something under 28'. i have called the factory for some info, but have not received anything yet .
did a search on this site but found nothing.
Somehow, I don't think the OP is asking about the AU Kevlacat, but the US Kevlacat, and they are two completely different boats. The US version has been extensively discussed on this site, with not much good to say about them.
Your experience calling the factory is typical of Kevlacat, and as catfoiler said, do a search and you will find a days worth of reading, afterwhich you will start looking at other catamarans.
geees it breaks my heart (almost) to hear all the drama and horror stories that you guys experienced with what is a very respected (and expensive) brand "down" here is Australia, but hey if that's what happened then I guess it is a csae of they got what they deserved if they built a crappy and troublesome boat with poor quality control.
They are nothing short a two long turds with a deck on top of them. Stay away from them. You will regret dealing with these idiots, if you do. Do not say you have not been warned. I had extensive dealings with these shysters. They will take your deposit money, & if you ever do see your boat, it will be a year or so down the road. RUN RUN RUN.

Yes, it is sad to see what the owners of Kervlacat America have done to the boats "over here".
The kevlacats have a good ride but the US owner tried some modifications that caused water ingestion on Honda outboards due to thier low position and tunnel spray. Then they have had a problem keeping thier watertight bulkheads from absorbing water as the is no provision for a drain.
QC has also been another problem and I believe their warranty exposure has been unusually high, so most people that have looked into them have chosen to invest with other producers.
