5.7 Crusader Distributer problems

We have been through 2 distributor caps in 4 months(about to be a third). There doesn't appear to be a rhyme or reason to it. '04 engines- less than 300 hours and its only my starboard engine??? Anyone have any ideas--boat gets run at least once a week and fishes 3-4 days a month in the summer. I am beginging to think moisture may be an issue-- but only my starbd engine is having the problems.

Not enough info to make any suggestions. Are you sure the rotor is on properly?

Maybe try spraying the contacts inside the cap (and the rotor) with CRC Heavy Duty Corrosion Inhibitor?

That's what I've always done with mine and it helps with the Greeny Meanie corrosion...
