Default Water pump lag time

Had my 01 Johnson ocean pro 90 serviced a few months ago. A new water pump was installed. I have yet to get it on the water this year but have ear-muffed it in the driveway a few times. When the engine turns over the water pump takes around 20 seconds to shoot a stream. Is this normal or might I have a problem?

Thanks for any advice.

Normal, has to fill all those engine passages first. Takes about 20 seconds
