Default OX66 225 help

Ok guys I need your help. Today I was out running at 3500 RPM's and I started to lose power and RPM's and it started making a funny noise in a matter of about 1 minute, then it shut off. It wouldn't crank, it just clicked. after a few tries it started and when I tried to go it shut off again and just clicked. After a few tries it started and I limped it back to the ramp and brought it home. When I got home I pulled the spark plugs and found two of the plugs on one side had the ground strap push up against the electrod and closed the gap. To me it is toast. What do you think the best way to fix it would be. It's a 88 and has been rebuilt once before I bought it and I put over 150hrs. on it. Do I put a power head on it or do I replace the whole motor or a power head. This couldn't have happened at a worse time because I'm broke.

" It's an '88 and...?" or do you mean '98?

Either way I'd say time to buy something more recent if possible.

Part your motor out on Ebay. Repower with an ox66 Fuel injected. Plenty of good deals out there.

If I went with a HPDI what would I have to change or could I use the steering ( which is new). Can I use the throttle and shift cables. Or will I have to replace it all. Does anyone Know of and Left over OX66's around? Just trying to weigh my options. Thanks guy's.
