Default Prop storage

Anybody have good ideas/pictures of spare prop storage on their boat? I have seen some cordura or ballistic nylon cases specifically for spare props, but can't seem to google up anything other than what is on the Cabella's site.
Or, ideas for mounting a spare on board in a space available.
Thanks in advance.

Mercury makes a spare prop shaft type holder. I think it even needs a spare nut to keep it together. I'm thinking of having one made as they are 50.00 MSRP
I'd make it to hold the Flo Torque hub to free up some space in my tool box.

The Birdsall prop bag is the one I was thinking of, although I like their prop holder too.
The Bass Pro case is too small for the 15" props I would be needing it appears.
Thanks folks.

Any other ideas?

I just got back from a Bahamas run and used a duffle bag which was large enough to fit both props side by side and wrapped each prop inside a nice thick towel. These were 15+ inch SS Mirage Props. Heavy suckers, but the system worked like a champ. If you're concerned that the towels will unwrap in the bag, use a couple zip ties or bungies. I wasn't concerned, as the bag was just right size to hold them snug. As far as I'm concerned, there's no need to run out and spend roughly $100 for 2 special prop bags.

Here's the part you're talking about. It's a Stainless Steel Large Mercury Prop-Stow part #93-824423 2. I installed one in my console and it's rock solid, easy to install and super convenient. Your spare hardware fits right on the shaft with the prop. I kept an eye on eBay and picked one up for $20 new. It retails for around $45. I see them go on eBay every now and then for $20-25. I doubt you could have one made for less unless you do the welding yourself. Even at $45 I think it's worth it.

These are mobile suitcases but they seem to work and the price is right. The only thing is that a 4 blade will not fit. it has a 3 blade cutout...http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PROPE...QQcmdZViewItem

My 14" stainless fits well in a plastic milk crate, then I slide a piece of PVC through the side holes and it keeps it from moving. Can put other stuff in with it.
It should fit 15-15 1/2" props easily based on the room mine has.

This is the only one they make to my knowledge. I only checked the Mercury outboard website so you may want to do a little research on the Mercury Marine main site.
