Default Trojan F-28

I am interested in purchasing a Trojan F-28. I was looking for any info, good and bad, that will help. Are there any known issues with this boat?

2750 Victoria, if you are talking about the Trojan that was built back in the 70,s I sold them back then for a dealer in Md. They were a very roomy boat for weekending on. If I remember right that boat had either an 11 or 12 ft. beam. It was a popular family boat. It would not be a good performing boat offshore. They were built for the cruising family, not the offshore fisherman. The boats did not have any problems that I can remember. I ran that boat with a single 250 Chrysler and with twin 225 chryslers. I actually live 5 miles from the old Trojan plant where they were built. Like I said the boats were constructed fine but did not have the hull for offshore fishing. I hope this helps.

Thanks for the info. The boat that I am looking at is a 1980 model, with a huge 12'-3" beam! It has twin 318 Chryslers on V-Drives. The boat will be used over here on the Left Coast, in and around the San Juan and Gulf Islands, so no open water. She isn't perfect, but man you have to love that beam!!

I was wrong when I told you that they built it with a single 250 chrysler, it was a 330 chrysler single or the twin 225,s. It is a very roomy boat and should do well with what you are going to use it for.

2750 Victoria - Try this website:
http://www.trojanboats.net1968_trojan_boats.htm I owned a 1966 31' Trojan built at the Kinsers, Pa. plant. It was a great cruising boat on the Chesapeake Bay. There are still many Trojans in operation on the Chesapeake. The website address has a 1968 catalog and history of the company to 1992.

The websites have some great info, thanks for the heads up! Info on the F-28 is still required, any one else out there have any experience with an early 80 fiberglass Trojan?
