Suzuki DF225 Won't Start--Electrical issue? While drift fishing off shore last week, I had shut down my '04 DF225. After about an hour, I went start it up to begin another drift over a reef, had all four of the "system check lights" blink on and off as normal, but got no response from the key when trying to start.
I tried battery one, battery two, and both postitions on the battery switch. (both new, group 24 marine cranking batteries). I also then tried to start the Yam T8, which turned over and fired just fine. I continued to idle the kicker for a while, thinking that perhaps I had a low voltage issue? After a series of attempts, I had the main engine light off and run fine for the rest of the day (I didn't shut it down again, as we were 50 miles out).
Cooincidently (or maybe not), the sonar portion of my Lowrance LMS350-A would not function. Not sure what the problem is there? I have a appt. with the dealer next week in the event my issue is something with the motor.
I'd appreciate any feedback on troubleshooting techniques/ideas for other issues that may be causing my trouble.. |
