Not enough info the answer your post. Have you owned the motor since new and have you used ring free since day one? If you have and aren't having problems you should not need to decarb. But if the motor came to you used or you only just started using ring free then you could decarb if you wanted. Many on this board like Seafoam which is available from NAPA. Read the container and follow the instructions.

Default Yam EFI Decarb procedure ???

Bought the motor new, have always run ringfree. I know of spray bombs to decarb a carb. motor...my question is how do you decarb an EFI engine?? Would you mix a decarb product with a 6 gal gas can and run through your Racor??? Have any of you decarbed an EFI motor??

Running ring free you still need to decarbon every 75hrs. Try Seafoam mix 1 pint/gal in a 6 gal can and run then let sit for 5-10mins. Should burn off the carbon by the 1st or 2nd run.

There was a thread on this subject a couple of months ago - do a search. The product you want to use is called DeepCreep - comes in a spray can from NAPA auto stores. To use it you'll need to remove your air baffle, start your engine(s) and begin spraying the DeepCreeep in the air intakes. Once spraying, I then grab the throttle assembly on the engine and increase the rpm's to around 1000-1500 and continue spraying until I feel the engine has been saturated. Then I turn the engine off for about 20 minutes while the DeepCreep does its creeping cleaning thing, and then re-start the engine(s) - be advised your engine(s) will smoke like crazy upon restart. They will also run smoother.
