How many oil pumps on 2003 ficht ram

My mechanic fixed the no oil light condition on my 250 h.p. ficht.

He said he replaced a secondary pump which was not the oil lift pump.

Any one know about this pump? Does it have a oil preasure sensor on it?

the first pump is a lift pump and has an oil pressure switch, the second pump is a multi port distrubution pump that has no oil pressure switch but is controlled by the computer and can turn on the light.

if the no oil alarm was not constant and happened randomly, the replacement will probably have fixed it, a fairly common fault now that they are getting on a bit in years, BUT it can sometimes only be the sensor that is faulty, not the pump.

I had the no oil fault on my 02 225 whish is pretty much same motor .It made me a bit nervous but turned out to be sensor and nothing more

2003 250 ficht has the pressure switch on the oil injecter.2001 & below have them on the lift pump..
